 Relevant Experience

2009-present   dba Stray Dogs LLC.  Providing trail project management and operations support services.  Facilitated the construction of 10 miles of sustainably designed multi-use trails and the original concept proposal for a multi-use trail and a downhill jump trail design in the interior of Alaska.

2008-2014       Board President;  Alaska Trails, Anchorage AK.  Elected position.  Policy and directional focus.

2005-2014       Board Member;  Alaska Trails, Anchorage AK.  Elected position.  Assisted the board in strategic planning, mission focus and financial planning for a statewide non-profit that now has annual revenues exceeding $400,000.

2004-present   Member;  Trails Advisory Commission, Fairbanks North Star Borough, Fairbanks AK.  Appointed position.  The commission is tasked with being the advisory body to the borough assembly , planning commission, and parks & recreation for all things trail related.

1985-present  Photographer.  Specializing in providing documentary and feature coverage for editorial and corporate markets on an assignment basis.  On a secondary basis, supplying stock photographs to these markets.

Providing documentary coverage through images with strong graphics and composition… featured in Ten Thousand Eyes, the 1992 PBS/Kodak documentary on American photography.  Extensive experience in aerial and marine photography, and shooting in remote locations.  Member of the American Society of Magazine Photographers.

Represented by Sipa Press (Paris FR, New York NY), Zuma Press (Laguna Beach CA) and Alaska Stock Images (Anchorage AK).

1972-2004  Commercial fisherman, anthropologist, resource biologist, marine vessel operator.  Providing services to the public and private sector throughout Alaska.

 Proficient with computer software (MS Access, Excel, Project, Word, Adobe Photoshop, etc.), electronic navigation devices (GPS, radar, etc.), photographic processes (35mm film & digital), and operation of gas/diesel motor vessels (100 gross tons, 200 miles offshore).
